Mastication– Restore Comfort While Eating
The loss of your natural teeth can pose a serious challenge to chewing and digesting food. A full denture can provide the support and assistance your jaw needs in properly chewing food. At Burleigh Denture Clinic, we use top of the line Enigma dentures that have a metal cobalt chromium framework for added strength and durability
We offer same day service as your teeth extraction so you don’t have to wait around without any teeth. Our prosthetist can also provide
immediate dentures that can help your gums heal, whilst helping you adjust to your new dentures.
Aesthetics– Restoring Muscular Support
Our face naturally appears collapsed when there is missing teeth, because teeth plays a vital role in supporting the facial muscles around the mouth. Burleigh Denture Clinic can help you custom make full dentures that can bring support back into your jawline with stunning new teeth.
We can create dentures that appear natural by using high impact acrylic base material that can be fully contoured. The teeth and gums can be stained and coloured so your dentures can look like your natural teeth. At Burleigh Denture Clinic, we want to help every client who has suffered from lowered self esteem because of missing teeth.
Pronunciation– Speak With Confidence
Full dentures can also assist with clearer pronunciation. Crooked, overlapping or missing teeth can change the placement of your tongue, making it more difficult to pronounce certain sounds. If you’re suffering from poor pronunciation, our prosthetist at Burleigh Denture Clinic can help you out. We can also provide partial dentures if you still have the majority of your natural teeth.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you eat straight away after new full dentures?
You can eat right after getting your full dentures, but we always recommend patients to adjust to their new dentures by first eating soft foods. Once you are comfortable with your new teeth, you can start to eat more chewier foods.
Can I have dentures fitted immediately after teeth extraction?
Yes, you can have dentures fitted immediately. Prosthetists can provide patients with an immediate denture whilst your gums are healing from the extraction. After your gums are healed, the shaping of the gum can change as the gums no longer needs to support teeth.
How many hours a day should you wear dentures?
We recommend patients to refrain from wearing dentures continually for 24 hours a day, unless they are brand new dentures. You can wear your dentures at night but it’s preferred that you remove them for cleaning to maintain oral hygiene. When you’re not wearing your dentures, they should be soaked in water or denture solution to keep them moist.
Why is my dentures starting to feel loose?
Dentures can begin to feel loose as your gums can shrink gradually over time causing improper fit. Everyday wear and tear can also cause your dentures to feel loose.
How long will my full denture last?
We recommend getting your dentures relined every 2 years, and a replacement every 5 to 7 years. Proper oral hygiene and maintenance can ensure your dentures are long lasting.
